Phillips Gradick Engineering’s Charlotte office has an immediate opening for an entry-level electrical designer. As a member of the electrical team, you will be mentored by senior level engineers and design commercial buildings such as multi-family, adaptive re-use, office, restaurant/breweries, retail, high-rise and other varied projects.

Primary Duties Include:

• Layout and design for electrical systems for power distribution, lighting, receptacles, and fire alarm in commercial/residential construction projects.  
• Assist in the production of detailed drawings that meet customer requirements and local building codes. 
• Become proficient in NEC and other relevant codes as well as AutoCad and Revit. 
• As the candidate gains experience, coordinate system scope, design layout and drawings with clients and other disciplines.  Communicate with power companies, code officials, architects, interior designers, etc., as required.  Coordinate in-house with mechanical & plumbing designers.

This position is in-office but can transition to hybrid once trained.
