Organization Overview:
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials, and more. Proceeds support Habitat for Humanity’s mission of providing affordable housing in the Charlotte Metro Region. We are seeking an enthusiastic intern to join our team and support our e-commerce initiatives.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated E-commerce Intern to assist with our online retail operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in e-commerce while supporting our mission of building homes and communities. The intern will work closely with our team to enhance our online presence and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and updating product listings on our e-commerce platform.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for our online sales.
- Support the execution of digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and promotions.
- Monitor and analyze website performance metrics, providing insights for improvement.
- Collaborate with the team to create engaging content for product pages and marketing materials.
- Help manage inventory for online sales and coordinate order fulfillment.
- Participate in team meetings, offering ideas to improve our online operations and customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Strong interest in e-commerce, digital marketing, and nonprofit work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and social media marketing.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
