Job Description
Perform HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical work as directed by a knowledgeable technician as assigned by the supervisor.
Accomplish routine maintenance for HVAC equipment including AHUs, FCUs, RTUs, MAUs, PCUs, VRF HVAC units, exhaust fans, etc.
Work independently on basic tasks such as filter changes and other basic preventive and corrective maintenance.
Read and understand blueprints, schematics, plans, and drawings as they apply to MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and related building systems.
Use knowledge of fire, building, electrical, and mechanical codes to maintain compliance with state, federal, and university regulations, standards, and accepted industry practices related to facility maintenance.
Gather and interpret information to identify the need for and collect information from a variety of sources to better understand the problems or issues.
Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
Reason logically to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
