2026 Summer Internship - Investment Management

The Investment Management Summer Intern position is primarily focused on Portfolio Management and Research & Quantitative Strategies roles, but interns will also get exposure to our Trading & Analytics and Portfolio Strategy groups during the internship. This role will provide the successful candidate with hands-on experience in the different functions of an award-winning asset management firm. The goal of the internship is a full-time job offer upon graduation.

During the Portfolio Management rotation, interns will be involved in learning how we evaluate and make investment decisions for our different proprietary portfolios, as well as the ongoing research that supports these processes. They will also see first-hand how our team incorporates our views on the Global Macro environment, various derivatives and credit markets, market structure intelligence, and foreign exchange movements into the construction of our portfolios. It is the expectation that interns will eventually contribute to these processes and views, as well. Interns will interact with the various members of the Portfolio Management team which includes experts in derivatives, global macro, fundamental, economic and quantitative analysis. 

During the Research & Quantitative Strategies rotation, interns will be involved in learning how we create, build, test, and ultimately incorporate various mathematical algorithms and systematic investment strategies into Horizon’s portfolios and funds. It is the expectation that interns will eventually contribute to these processes, as well. They will interact with the various members of the Research & Quantitative Strategies team which includes experts in mathematical finance, systematic investment strategies, statistics, and machine learning applications.
