Membrane R&D Co-Op - Spring 2025

The Role:

Our site in Bedford is seeking a Membrane R&D Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. We are looking for a student to join the Membrane R&D group to support the continuous yield and performance improvement projects for membrane development. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. The Co-op will spend time working with team members in and outside of lab settings to help collect and analyze early-stage product data.

In this role, you will:

• Test new ideas for improving membrane properties

• Tabulate collected data and produce finished data packages to present to others in and outside of the R&D Team.

• Graph and Analyze results to help R&D team make informed product decisions.

• Test membrane to characterize performance

• Seek improvements in new membrane test methods and assist in qualification of new test methods

• The ideal candidate has interests in R&D development, manufacturing operations, and working in lab environments

You're a good fit if you have:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

• Minimum education level: Junior or Senior in a Bachelor's program

• Good multi-tasking skills and ability to manage multiple projects

• Excited to work in a manufacturing and lab environment

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• Previous experience in surface chemistry modification or filtration sciences.

• Previous experience with lab characterization techniques such as FTIR, UV-Vis, HPLC, IC-PMS, Various Assays, and physical characteristic measuring like Tensile or Thickness monitoring

• Lab related experience is a plus

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:

• Chemistry/Process Engineering/Material Science are the most related.
