Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation department is looking to add an integral member to our team! We are currently looking to hire an Athletic Turf Internship for the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex and American Legion Memorial Stadium. The Sportsplex has 9 synthetic turf fields, two natural grass fields and a 5,000-capacity natural grass stadium, which won SFMA Field of the Year honors in 2022 and 2023. American Legion Memorial Stadium is a 10,000-capacity synthetic turf stadium.

This position will work at both complexes and will gain experience with natural turf fields, synthetic turf fields, and stadium and special event operations. This position will work alongside the Sports Field and Grounds Manager and will be responsible for assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of both facilities. The start and finish dates are negotiable based on candidate’s availability.
