Job Description
This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.
This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.
The anticipated term of this engagement will be 11 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.
CW-IT Applications Developer IV
Develops, implements and assesses specific new and emerging technologies, platforms, and services.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Assessing the technical viability of emerging products and technologies.

Working with developers and infrastructure specialists to test and evaluate new technologies.

Participating in the development of business cases and obtaining approvals for capital expenditures.

Monitoring and analyzing new technology product performance and resolving issues regarding potential improvements or modifications to complex situations, as needed.

Sr Engineering (DCAT Engineering) is a Builder role with 8+ year of experience of Digital Engineering domain.Partner with Product Managers, Analysts and business partners in design and develoment for DCAT Engineering Solutions. The role requires close collaboration with Infrastructure, Cyber and Data teams as needed.

Responsibilities
Understand business needs and design appropriate technical solutions to meet those needs.
Provide inputs to planning, estimation, scheduling, prioritization and coordination of technical activities related to system development.
Ensure system alignment to Enterprise Architecture policies and best practices; ensure that process methodologies are followed in system development.
Manage day to day technical challenges and communicate to project manager any risks or issues associated with the development activities.
Mentor development staff in effective solutioning for tough technical challenges.
Required Skills
End-to-end technical ownership, coordinating with different technical roles
Fluent in Digial tech stack
Fluent in enterprise architecture
Strong understanding of software architecture concepts in building a variety of applications, including web sites, web services, and batch processing systems.
Champion of Agile software development methodologies.
Champion of unit testing, test driven development and other forms of automated testing.
Strong understanding of advanced software development concepts such object-oriented design and development, multi-threading, thread safety, exception handling and logging, asyncronous operations, etc.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Passionate about technology and solving problems with technology.

CIAM Engineers: Ping Suite (PingFederate, PingAccess, Ping Directory), Transmit. Security Protocols : OAuth 2.x, SAML, LDAP, Java, Spring, Containers (Openshift/EKS)
API Engineers: API Gateways (like Kong), ServiceMesh (like Istio), API development and security by default, FDX Standards
Cloud Engineers: Hyperscaler Cloud certified AWS or GCP, Cloud native builds and migrations in AWS with knowledge on various AWS platform capabilities, K8 Container technologies (like Openshift or EKS), CDN Knowledge (like Akamai), Caching Technologies (like Redis)
Languages and Framework :Java, Spring Framework (SpringMVC, Spring Security, Spring Boot and Spring Batch, etc..), Open API, REST
Cloud Tech & Moinitoring : AWS, GCP, Dynatrace, Teraform
Database : Oracle, PL/SQL, Mongo, other database technologies.
