As a Cybersecurity Intern here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to our cybersecurity initiatives. You’ll play a key role in building an inclusive environment, where innovation and inclusion drive success.

Responsibilities

In this role, as a key member of an elite penetration testing team, you may have the opportunity to:

  • Find software vulnerabilities in applications, products, and online services.
  • Go beyond traditional scanner-based penetration testing methods
  • Use experience and creativity to drive your manual penetration testing efforts
  • Find all the vulnerabilities, exploiting the ones that are fun
  • Partner with development teams to remediate cyber security issues
  • Purple team exercise to quickly improve security posture
  • Participate in select, high profile penetration testing projects with executive report outs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with a team, using penetration testing tools for finding vulnerabilities in our products and services
  • Research emerging threats, evaluate innovative tools, and suggest improvements to existing processes
  • Communicate findings from risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and incident response activities to technical and non-technical audiences

 

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of network security,
  • Familiarity with most of the following, with experience in at least three:
    • Portswigger’s Burp or other web-based penetration testing tools
    • Cyber security analysis of hardware & software systems
    • Network security
    • Detailed understanding of TCP/IP networking and protocols
    • Cryptography
    • Windows and Linux systems
    • Python and/or other scripting languages
    • Reverse Engineering: Ghidra, IDA Pro, or similar
    • Protocol Analysis and Exploitation
    • Web Application / REST API testing
  • Ability to write security reports and communicate findings
  • Must graduate before May 2028
