Organization: E2D (Eliminate the Digital Divide) 

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid preferred) 

Duration: Summer Internship (Approx. 10–12 weeks beginning mid-May) 

Compensation: $18-20 per hour Paid 10 hours a week

E2D - Eliminate the Digital Divide is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating the digital divide by providing refurbished technology, internet access, and digital literacy training to underserved communities. We work with partners across North Carolina to ensure that everyone has the tools and skills needed to thrive in a digital world.

Position Overview

E2D is seeking a creative and motivated Graphic Designer Summer Intern to support our marketing, communications, and fundraising efforts. This role is ideal for a student or early-career designer looking to build a portfolio while contributing to meaningful social impact work.

The intern will collaborate closely with the communication and leadership teams to create compelling visual content that strengthens E2D’s brand and engages our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design digital and print materials including: 
    • Social media graphics
    • Flyers and event materials
    • Email and newsletter visuals
    • Presentation decks
    • Impact reports and infographics
    • Support branding consistency across all visual assets
    • Assist with website graphics and visual updates
    • Collaborate with team members to translate ideas into effective designs
    • Contribute to campaign concepts and creative brainstorming
    • Organize and maintain design files and templates

Qualifications

Required: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field - Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Canva or similar.

Strong visual design skills and attention to detail - Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines - Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred: - Experience designing for social media and digital campaigns - Familiarity with Canva, Adobe, Illustrator, Figma, or similar tools - Interest in nonprofit work, social impact, or community engagement - Basic understanding of branding and marketing principles
