Exciting opportunity to join a growing team in Asheville, NC. Seeking a civil engineering major to join the team in the role of a co-op. This position will assist civil engineers with design and plan production serving a multitude of clients. The projects are diverse and include land development consulting for residential, industrial, commercial and environmental clients.

Your project contributions will provide an extension to your classroom education. A professional engineer will assign your tasks, oversee your work, provide feedback and be available to teach you the skills throughout the co-op session. The goal is this opportunity will lead to a full time hire upon graduation assuming both parties are interested.

Some of these may include:

• storm sewer design and sizing
• detention design
• site layout and grading
• water, sanity and powered utilities location and design
• permitting research
• CADD drafting skills
• time and project management skills
• writing drainage reports
• coordination with staff and clients to engage in intrapersonal skills in a work setting
