The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly technical Data Engineer for a multi-year initiative in Charlotte. This is a pure "hands-on" engineering role-no management, no fluff. We need a developer who thrives in the weeds of advanced SQL and enterprise-grade Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines.
Note to Applicants: This is a rigorous technical environment. You will be evaluated specifically on your ability to write complex, high-performance SQL and architect scalable ADF frameworks from scratch.
Core Responsibilities
-
Deep-Dive SQL Development: Design and optimize complex stored procedures, CTEs, and window functions across Oracle and SQL Server environments.
-
ADF Architecture: Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory , focusing on parameterization, dynamic content, and incremental loads.
-
Performance Tuning: Lead execution plan analysis and indexing strategies to solve high-volume data bottlenecks.
-
Pipeline Orchestration: Manage trigger management, monitoring, and automated reconciliation logic for enterprise data flows.
-
Data Migration: Lead large-scale migrations (file-based and DB-to-DB) while maintaining strict data quality and governance controls.
Technical Requirements
-
5+ Years of Advanced SQL: You must be an expert in Oracle and SQL Server. If you can't talk through execution plans and advanced indexing, this isn't the role for you.
-
Hands-on ADF Mastery: Proven experience in production environments building modular data transformation frameworks.
-
ETL/ELT Logic: Strong understanding of Change Data Capture (CDC) patterns and data validation frameworks.
-
Regulated Environment Exp: Experience in Financial Services or similarly regulated sectors is highly preferred.
-
Education: Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or a related technical field.

-
Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
-
CI/CD for Data Pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git)
