Staff Accountant ( General Accountant )

Contract work for 6 to 12 months. The contract may be extended, and contract-to-hire is possible (but not guaranteed at this time)

Location: 77 Hot Metal Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 - hybrid work schedule (NOT fully remote)

Accountant ( General Accountant , GL / General Ledger Staff Accountant ) :

• Coordinate with stakeholders to understand the projects and transactions being recorded

• Analyze transactions and balances to ensure that they are appropriately recorded in the general ledger

• Prepare and review routine recurring and non-recurring journal entries

• Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations

• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process

• Assist in the preparation of key internal reporting

• Prepare required documentation for financial audits and reviews

• Assist in maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

  Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree

• At least 1-3 years' of full time experience in corporate accounting

• Lawson and Hyperion software experience preferred

• Cadency reconciliation and journal entry software experience preferred
