Our MEPS Infrastructure team is growing and seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Raleigh, NC office to specialize in W/WW projects. The successful candidate should have experience specifying, designing, and implementing electrical power systems. Experience in WW/W is preferred however industrial, chemical, and mining experience is acceptable. This position offers opportunities for growth into project management for complex water/wastewaster projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical power system engineering and design for W/WW projects.
• Lead multiple design projects and manage junior engineers to execute projects.
• Design opportunities included low voltage electrical power distribution, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities.
• Provide electrical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Review and approve contractor submittals.
• Execute redline markups from engineers.
• Sizing conduit and wire, laying out electrical distribution equipment, and designing lighting systems.
• Coordinate with engineering staff to successfully execute electrical designs.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• BS in electrical engineering or related degree.
• 10+ years of design or WW/W operation experience on industrial projects.
• PE preferred. 
• Must have experience designing electrical systems and producing design documents in AutoCAD. Revit experience preferred.
• Must be a self-starter with initiative, drive and determination.
• Candidate must have a good working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Life Safety Codes, and other related Codes.
• Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential for coordination with other disciplines, and client interface.
