The Mebane Early Literacy Center is looking to hire reading or math tutors to implement an evidence-based reading or math instruction with small groups of K-5 learners at Niner University Elementary School for Summer 2024.

• Job Requirements:  Must have prior training in the Sound Partners or the UFLI programs. be a Mebane Scholar, and/or have the desire to make a difference in the lives of K-5 students!
• Camp Dates: June 24th-July 19th (no Summer Camp on July 4th & 5th); 18 total days of instruction
• Pre-Camp Training: 9 hours of pre-camp training during the week of June 17th-21st (No training on June 19th)
• Pay: $15-$18 an hour depending upon previous Niner camp teaching experience. There are teaching opportunities for half-day (9-11:30am) or full-day (9-2:30pm). Duties: Provide explicit, systematic reading or math instruction using evidence-based practices and programs.

Tutors also gain valuable experience teaching an evidence-based instruction making them MORE marketable as a future teachers!
