Turn Data Into Strategy. Turn Insights Into Impact.
Grubb Properties is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to serve as our enterprise Power BI leader and strategic analytics partner. This is more than a reporting role — it’s an opportunity to shape how data drives decision-making across a growing, forward-thinking real estate organization.
This role sits at the intersection of technology and business. You’ll work directly with department leaders across the company, translating complex data into clear, practical insights that influence operational and financial performance. The ideal candidate combines technical depth with business acumen and thrives in conversations with non-technical stakeholders, confidently turning data into clear recommendations.
What You’ll Do
As our primary Power BI subject matter expert, you will:
- Lead enterprise-wide Power BI development, governance, and best practices
- Partner with department heads to define KPIs and design meaningful dashboards
- Build and maintain scalable semantic models and enterprise reports
- Translate Yardi reporting needs into modern Power BI solutions
- Design and manage data connections across databases, APIs, and third-party platforms
- Ensure data accuracy through well-documented data flows and refresh schedules
- Consolidate manual and legacy reporting into automated BI solutions
- Deliver actionable insights that support operational and financial decision-making
- Provide user training and support to drive adoption and self-service analytics
- Support strategic initiatives with ad hoc analysis and reporting
What You Bring
Technical Expertise
- Advanced experience developing enterprise Power BI dashboards and reports
- Strong proficiency in DAX, data modeling, and relational database concepts
- SQL expertise for reporting and data analysis
- Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access
- Power BI Desktop & Service expertise
- Experience with APIs, direct database connections, and data automation (Power Automate)
- Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management platforms preferred
- Experience in multifamily or commercial real estate data strongly preferred
Professional Strengths
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Confident and comfortable presenting dashboards, findings, and recommendations to department leaders
- Strong interpersonal skills and social awareness — able to build trust and credibility across teams
- Ability to ask thoughtful questions, clarify business needs, and align reporting solutions with strategic goals
- Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Skilled at training, mentoring, and supporting end users
Why This Role Matters
This is a highly collaborative, stakeholder-facing role. Success requires someone who enjoys working with people just as much as working with data. Your work will directly influence how leaders evaluate performance, identify trends, and make growth-focused decisions. You won’t just build dashboards, you’ll help shape how the organization leverages data as a strategic asset.
