Liberty Tax Service, one of the nation’s leading tax preparation companies is holding tax preparer basic tax training at its offices in Harrisburg, NC starting September 2025. Our tax class will teach you how to prepare personal and small business tax returns. Upon training completion you will be prepared to work in our tax offices earning extra income, a season-end bonus and with a flexible work schedule. The training is IRS approved and qualifies for CE credits.

we offer online and in person classes, upon completion of the required certification, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting face-to-face tax interviews with clients.

• Plan, prepare, and file individual income tax returns. 

• Input correct tax information into preparation software.

• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients.

• Balance multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.

• Build customer relationships and advise clients regarding their tax returns to increase retention.

• Provide exceptional customer service.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Assist general team members as needed.

Tax preparers with prior individual and business tax preparation experience in a tax practice or retail setting are always welcomed. Knowledge of tax laws, tax concepts and familiarity with form 1040 and schedules (1065 and 1120 tax return experience would be ideal).
