BIM Specialist

eLoghomes, a leading log home kit manufacturer in the US, is seeking a BIM specialist with residential construction or other manufacturing experience. The company and position are based in Nash County, NC, but hybrid position possible. The role requires a minimum 2 years of experience in 3D modeling, preferably in Revit. This role will aid in the output of accurate drawings by creating and auditing bill of materials related to log home packages shipped nationally to our customers. The position reports to the Director of Product Management & Design. BIM Specialist professionals in the Rocky Mount, Wilson, Knightdale, Raleigh, Durham, NC are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Updating of our 200 home model library for the company's transition to Revit.
• Completion of preliminary designs, final construction documents, complete list of building materials for each house kit, and shop drawings for log cutting, utilizing Revit.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records using project management technology of the company.
• Work across the organization to ensure the needs of the customers are met.
• Determine how each model is constructed and ensure each building component is included in 3D model

Qualifications

• Must possess strong communication skills and be very detail oriented.
• 2-5 years of 3D modeling experience, residential construction a plus.
• Competent and can take verbal instruction on building systems.
• Must provide portfolio of previous BIM projects.
• Experience with producing a bill of materials (BOM) is a plus but not required.
• Ability to understand the project by examining a series of individual parts.
• Creating plugins for Revit a plus.
• Team player, strong work ethic, flexible problem solver.
• Willingness to work at a fast pace.
• Position not required to lift more than 20lbs.

Depending on the candidate's skills and experience, a hybrid position is a possibility after 60-days.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• Revit Experience or BIM certification (required)
