Summary

The Engineering Co-Op/Intern conducts product design/development related to welding products, using his/her knowledge of welding engineering, metallurgy and material science, and assists with troubleshooting of product/process issues related to welding.

Essential Functions

• Liaison with technical personnel, and industry experts in regards to design, development, or product improvement projects
• Document and/or verify documentation of operations performed, including lab reports, work orders, and other technical documents.
• Work with QA and Sales to address any product quality or customer complaints.  Assist in troubleshooting of customer issues.
• Asist the project manager on related engineering projects.
• OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES MAY BE ASSIGNED AS NEEDED

Qualification

Education and Experience

• Students in an Engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial).

Special Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams to ensure that production requirements are met.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with little supervision.
