The Internship
The Marketing and Communications Assistant will be responsible for WIB content creation, e-newsletter content related to the student experience and professional development, and marketing efforts for WIB and the professional development team.
Learning Experience
The Marketing and Communications Assistant will increase their knowledge of effective marketing strategies, further develop their writing skills,
and be able to learn different software programs. They will increase their knowledge around career topics and issues faced by women in the workplace. They will be able to build their experience with marketing and publicity campaigns.
Outcomes
Problem Solving: Analyze issues, think critically, make decisions, and overcome
challenges. Obtain, interpret, and use knowledge, facts and data to make
decisions, Communications: Articulate thoughts and ideas effectively and
efficiently, using verbal, non-verbal, digital and written methods, Technology
Application: Select and use appropriate technology to solve problems and
accomplish goals., Self-Awareness: Understand one's skills, strengths,
experiences and areas for improvement in order to explore career options, take
the steps necessary to pursue opportunities and understand how to advocate
for personal and professional success.
