New York City Ballet is one of the foremost dance companies in the world, with a roster of spectacular dancers and an unparalleled repertory. Founded in 1948 by George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein, New York City Ballet quickly became world-renowned for its athletic and contemporary style. The School of American Ballet is the official training academy of the New York City Ballet.

The Program

New York City Ballet welcomes applications for its 2024 Summer Internship program. This program was created to support emerging talent in finding meaningful and structured professional development. The NYCB Summer Internship program will run from June 4th through August 16th. During this ten-week program you’ll have an opportunity to build your personal and professional skills. Internships will take place on-site at Lincoln Center Plaza, but may also include occasional remote work. Those selected will be assigned to one of the following departments:

•  Development - Patron Programs
• Development - Foundation & Government Relations
• Development - Special Events
• Development - Major Gifts
• Marketing and Media - Relationship & Acquisition Marketing
• Human Resources
• Theater Operations
• Strategic Analysis & Business Development

Eligibility

• Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior of an accredited college or university, or a recent graduate of an undergrad program.
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to commit to working 21 hours per week, June 2024 - August 2024
