Your Role and Responsibilities :
IBM CIO (Chief Information Office) Organization is looking for innovative talent for our Raleigh, North Carolina location who bring fresh new ideas to create a productive environment for all IBMers across the globe through our internship program offering. Our mission is to provide the best work experience in a digital workplace to all IBM employees and consequently positively impact on the way IBM deliver what our clients need.
Join our SAP team, in IBM Accounting and Financial Systems, where we are accountable for the design, implementation, and support of SAP Financials. We work with the accounting and finance users to dig into their requirements and financial processes; and improve those processes as they convert onto SAP. We also work closely with the sales and logistics areas to ensure correct accounting from those integrated processes. We enjoy building quality products, crafting an amazing user experience, and having lots of fun in the process!
About Business Unit :
The IBM CIO Accounting, Finance & Planning, and Tax Systems organization is responsible for ensuring system stability, and providing IT support, and legal and regulatory compliance to Accounting, Finance and Tax. We drive business agility in accounting, financial planning, pricing, tax, business development (acquisitions & divestitures) and global financing, while engineering the systems that run IBM. We strive to create an IT environment inspiring innovation and enabling productivity, while continuously transforming and delivering value to IBM financial processes.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Management Information System or a similar business degree

Strong knowledge and skills in Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting

Innovative problem solving skills, including analyzing root causes, applying accounting knowledge, and preparing and recommending solution alternatives

Ability to challenge the validity of given procedures and processes with the intent to enhance and improve

Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills

Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritize, organize and work effectively in a fast paced environment
Strong aptitude for learning software packages and how to apply solutions to accounting requirements

Location StatementSupplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law. The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year. This position was posted on the date cited in the key job details section and is anticipated to remain posted for 21 days from this date or less if not needed to fill the role.
