Job Description

This position will be responsible for planning, designing, documenting, and permitting proposed new outside plant FTTx build-outs. This role will work as a member of our Fiber Design & Implementation Engineering team to produce high-quality deliverables for buried, underground, and aerial fiber applications.
 
 Training will be offered to the right candidate who meets minimum requirements.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of GIS, including ArcGIS/QGIS/Google Earth, etc.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD-based software.
  • Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for Telecom/FFTx OSP construction. 
  • Must possess intermediate skills in basic programs like Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Highly organized, self-starter, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
  • Superior time management and strong attention to detail.
  • Overtime is often required.
  • This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college is required. Must be Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, GIS, or a related discipline.
