Internship Internship Fall 2026

The Touchdown Club is seeking a motivated and energetic intern to assist the Executive Director with event operations, communications, and marketing initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in sports event management, sponsor relations, and community engagement while working alongside professional athletes, coaches, media representatives, and event partners.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating Club events and special programs.
• Help manage volunteers during events and activities.
• Assist with organizing and pulling merchandise and auction items.
• Coordinate event props and merchandise deliveries to host hotels.
• Support the planning and execution of:
  • The Touchdown Club Annual Golf Tournament
  • Luncheon Speaker Series featuring present and former professional athletes and coaches
  • Carolina Panthers Countdown-To-Kickoff Luncheon featuring Carolina Panthers players
  • The Bronko Nagurski National College Football Defensive Player of the Year Awards Banquet
• Work with Club sponsors, media outlets, and sports information directors to support communication and marketing efforts.
• Assist with promotional activities, event preparation, and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and writing skills required.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in sports management, event planning, communications, marketing, or public relations preferred.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work long event days when necessary.
