What we are looking for:

We are seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our thriving practice in Charlotte, NC. There is no prior experience required for this position – we will provide detailed on-site training and provide you with the tools to be successful in this position. The ideal candidate will be motivated, possess exceptional organizational skills, and have an interest in learning and developing knowledge of residential and commercial real estate. As a Legal Assistant/Paralegal, the candidate will be at the forefront of the transaction, supporting the attorneys as necessary. The candidate will learn about the title exam process, assist with the ordering of title insurance, learn the key distinctions between North Carolina and South Carolina transitions, assist on residential and commercial transactions, and develop lasting relationships with an incredible clientele.

What your day-to-day might look like:

  • Handle real estate closing file from start to finish – you will start with learning how to handle the file from start to finish before being requested to do so yourself.
  • Coordinate with clients, lenders, and real estate agents through the transaction process.
  • Assist attorneys with real estate closings – including preparing closing packages and coordinating client signatures.
  • Managing and organizing real estate files and documents.
  • Communicating with clients and referral partners to ensure a positive experience.

Preferred Qualifications (not requirements):

  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and SoftPro (ProForm or SoftPro Select)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable, and good attitude, and a willingness to learn
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills
  • Knowledge of North Carolina real estate laws

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
