Job Description

This Developer, Platform Engineering Intern, will work on a small and collaborative team. They will work to deliver key pieces of functionality for one or more products on the platform services. During this assignment, the Developer Intern will have an opportunity to work on all aspects of software development, including but not limited to Design, Develop, and Deployment. This Developer Intern will be working under the direction of a seasoned Sr Software Engineer or a Director of Engineering (individual Contributor) role, that specializes in various aspects of API development.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Charlotte, NC office.
Responsibilities:

Contributes to the completion of project deliverables and is accountable for the development, quality assurance, and support of the solution they deliver

Follows business requirements, implements a set of specifications by coding, compiling and testing the application

Work closely with the development team and business analysts to ensure code quality, accuracy and correct business solutions have been developed

Develop unit test cases/criteria to verify all functionality is working correctly
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Knowledge of Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)

Working knowledge of Python / C# / JSON

Exposure to backend database technologies such as MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB.

Familiarity with IDE tools such as
-
Familiarity with the Azure cloud computing environment and its foundational components.

Familiarity with Azure GIT Repos and branching mechanism.

Familiarity with iterative development methodologies.

Hands-on experience with leading AI-assisted coding tools like Claude, Copilot, and related platforms.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly

Financial Services industry knowledge
Education & Experience:
-
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field

1–2 years of programming experience through coursework, academic projects, or relevant hands-on experience

Strong academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Internship Details:
Hourly wage: $25.00 per hour
Internship Duration: June 8th – August 14th
