Job Description
The Outdoor Event Assistant is responsible for the setup, breakdown, and organization of equipment for outdoor events, occasionally serving as an Event Manager by overseeing the operations of the event. Equipment may consist of, but not limited to: tables, chairs, stage pieces, tents, podiums, and other event-related items to support the success of these events. Outdoor Event Technicians will set events according to diagrams and reports issued by the CRES team. Heavy lifting and the ability to stand for long periods is required. This position is staffed based on events and does not consist of steady work. This position is best for students looking for a part time position in addition to another job. Expected work hours of 5-10 hours during slower months and can expect up to 29 hours during busy months. This position may also consist of operating university vehicles that require a valid U.S. driver's license. A valid U.S. driver license is highly recommended. Event crew experience is recommended.
