Exciting Internship Opportunity: Help Plan "Art in the Dark" at Lions Services Inc.!
Do you love art, events, and making a difference? Lions Services Inc. is offering a fun and unique internship opportunity to help plan our signature fundraising event, Art in the Dark—an unforgettable evening where art created by individuals who are blind and visually impaired will be auctioned off… but here’s the twist: bidders won’t be able to see the art! They’ll rely on detailed, vivid descriptions before placing their bids.
If you’re interested in event planning, art, and nonprofit work, this is the perfect chance to build your skills and be part of something meaningful!
Your Role as an Intern:
- Event Planning & Logistics: Help organize the event from start to finish, including booking the venue, coordinating timelines, and setting up the perfect ambiance.
- Creative Promotion: Collaborate with our team to create buzz for the event, from social media campaigns to flyers, to spreading the word in the community.
- Art Coordination: Work with the talented artists in our community who are blind and visually impaired to gather and organize their artwork for the auction.
- Auction Prep: Assist in writing engaging descriptions for each piece of art, ensuring bidders have a vivid and compelling understanding of what they’re bidding on.
- Fundraising Management: Help manage auction bids, work with donors, and contribute to making this event a financial success for our mission!
Why This Internship is Amazing:
- Gain real-world experience in event planning and nonprofit management.
- Use your creativity to promote a one-of-a-kind event.
