Project SoL is a non-profit organization that assists Vietnamese families in need across the Carolinas and Vietnam. Our mission focuses on providing resources, support, and opportunities for underprivileged families while promoting cultural understanding and community development. Description of the Project and Location
Program Name: Project SoL Seekers – Ambassador Program
Location: Hybrid (with a mix of in-person and virtual engagements tailored to student availability) The program recruits university students to act as Ambassadors, engaging in community outreach, professional development activities, and project-based tasks that support Project SoL’s mission.
Project Scope
● Community Engagement: Ambassadors will coordinate and participate in community
events, aiding in resource distribution and cultural awareness initiatives.
● Content Creation: Students will assist in creating promotional materials, including social
media posts, short videos, and blogs, to showcase the organization’s impact.
● Fundraising Support: Ambassadors will collaborate on campaigns aimed at securing resources for families in need.
This project provides students with short-term, meaningful tasks designed to match their skills and availability, making it ideal for gig training.
Preferred Student Demographic and Qualifications
● Currently enrolled university students in any field of study, with a preference for majors in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or social work.
● Strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work independently.
● A passion for community service and cultural engagement.
● Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation tools is a plus but not required.
Hours Required for Completion
The program requires a commitment of 40 hours, distributed flexibly across a period of 2–4 weeks, depending on the student's availability and project scope.
