Job Description
Hope Street Food Pantry is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic intern to assist with our daily operations. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in the non-profit sector and a chance to contribute to your community.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Assist with organizing and maintaining the pantry inventory, ensuring that food items are properly stocked, rotated, and labeled.
- Client Services: Greet and assist clients, ensuring that they receive the necessary support and resources.
- Volunteer Coordination: Help coordinate and supervise volunteers, ensuring that they are properly trained and engaged in their tasks.
- Food Donation: Assist with collecting and sorting food donations.
- Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach events and activities to raise awareness about the pantry's services.
- Data Entry: Enter data into the pantry's database, including information on donations, distributions, and volunteer hours.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with various administrative tasks, such as emails, photocopying, and answering phone calls.
