**Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be available from May 27, 2025 through August 15, 2025. Department/Position Description:
Sustainable Operations – Consumer Food Waste
Eliminating waste and driving down food waste is a top priority for ADUSA and its great local brands. For this project, the intern will lead an effort to develop a consumer food waste reduction campaign at one (or more) of the great local brands or service companies of ADUSA.
Project includes:
Exploration of the topic of consumer food waste as it relates to environmental detriment, food insecurity, food scarcity, nutritional inequity. Development of a consumer-facing campaign outlining approaches to reduce wasted food in the home. Working with the sustainable operations team as well as the selected brand’s internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, external communications) and external partners (e.g., Consumer Goods Forum)
Qualifications:
- Working towards a bachelors/graduate degree
- Attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Office capabilities (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Additional statistics or analytical skills a plus
- Strong project management capabilities
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations with solid interpersonal skills
