What you will do
When you join EY Indirect Property Tax, you’ll be at the heart of the EY critical mission to build a better working world by applying your knowledge, skills and experience in assisting clients in meeting their business objectives.
As an Associate Analyst, your role will include:
- Preparing and filing accurate business personal property tax renditions, processing and payment of various tax statements/bills, and reports within various deadlines.
- Prioritizing and completing multiple projects and responsibilities across various client engagements.
- Collaborating with various engagement team members to obtain and evaluate accuracy of fixed asset, inventory, and/or supplies data.
- Working with subject matter professionals in order to apply knowledge of tax laws and regulatory guidance.
- Analyzing and reviewing data to identify potential errors and escalate the errors according to standard operating procedures.
- Applying knowledge of basic tax concepts and following provided guidance to support accuracy in tax reporting.
- Assisting with reconciliation of client accounts and tax filings to ensure complete, accurate and timely filing of tax returns
- Assist and identify reconciliation discrepancies and propose solutions to engagement team leader(s).
- Proactively communicate with supervisors and team members on a regular basis to provide project status updates and receive guidance or recommendations to support engagement needs.
- Providing support to engagement teams, including sorting documents received in the daily mail, preparing and/or updating follow-up logs and meeting notes, and conducting research for compliance and related services.
Job requirements and preferences
- Required qualifications 
- A predicted undergraduate degree with a concentration in Business, Finance, or related field.
- The ability to follow standardized processes, ask questions when needed, prioritize assignments, attention to detail and ensure appropriate workflow and timely production of deliverables.
- Possess curiosity with the ability to observe, evaluate, optimize, and provide solutions
- Desire for professional growth and technical knowledge of state & local taxation as it applies to Property Tax (Fixed Assets & Real Estate)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
Preferred qualifications 
- Basic knowledge of tax software applications, tax compliance and information reporting rules.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The salary for this job, in the US, is $60,000. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
