Job Description
Essential Job Duties: Costume Lab work will include sewing and building costume pieces. Students will be trained to do advanced work based on their ability.
Costume Lab Lead Technician will have experience to execute advanced costume builds. They will have the demonstrated ability to work efficiently independently. They will support and assist the Costume Lab Manager with leading and supervising junior lab technicians and practicum students through lab projects.
Other responsibilities could include organizing costume inventory, assisting with fittings, cleaning the shop, sorting costume items including thread, fabric, and tools, and other tasks as determined by the Costume Lab Manager.
Other Work Responsibilities: Student must be able to safely carry items weighing 40lbs. Student must be comfortable using hand trucks, carts, getting dirty, and working on their feet for long periods of time.
Preferred Experience: Completed Theatre Practicum Course in the Costume Lab. Worked in Costume Lab as a Lab Technician for one year.
