Job Description
Job Summary:
As an Automation Engineer at Technimark, you'll play an important role in optimizing and expanding our manufacturing operations through the procurement and optimization of automation systems. This position involves the execution of multiple projects, assisting in the design, overseeing installation, and conducting qualification processes for new and existing automation initiatives.
Knowledge | Experience | Skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in part design, CAD, and manufacturing operations.
Solid knowledge of machining, fabrication, and Injection Molding.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with diverse teams.
Knowledge of computer and control systems.
Sound mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Minimum of 5 years experience with PLC programming , HMI Programming, & Keyence camera programming required. Must have wiring, panel building expereince.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the procurement and design oversight of automation systems ensuring seamless integration, and operational efficiency.
Work independently and confidently with customers and vendors in various scenarios.
Create work instructions, preventive maintenance documents and all required documentation for qualification and validation of Automation projects.
Approve designs for new automation systems.
Coordinate automation activities with external suppliers.
Manage construction timelines to meet all qualification milestones and production needs.
Collaborate with our customers on automation projects as the primary technical leader for Technimark.
Assist in production start-ups related to automation machinery.
Provide support for automation projects across all locations, with travel requirements of up to 40% per year globally.
Devise and conduct technical feasibility assessments for assembly, automation, and decoration processes.
Identify and demonstrate cost-saving opportunities related to automation.
Aid in the maintenance and improvement of existing automation machinery.
Tackle challenges and troubleshoot new and existing automation systems.
Drive continual improvement initiatives for automation machinery.
Provide crucial support for automation projects in other divisions as required.
Help prepare quotes for new automation work cells across company locations.
Qualify new automation vendors on a global scale.
Develop and maintain General Delivery Specifications for equipment.
