Job Description
Pierson Wireless is seeking an Entry-Level Accountant to join our corporate accounting team and support the financial operations of a growing telecommunications systems integrator. This position provides broad exposure to day-to-day accounting functions and offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting or finance professional to build practical experience.
Responsibilities include supporting accounts receivable and customer invoicing, collections and cash application, vendor setup and payments, expense and credit-card reporting, journal entries, cash reconciliations, balance-sheet reconciliations, and other general accounting activities. You will work closely with the accounting team while also interacting with employees and departments throughout the organization.
ACCOUNTANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support for accounts receivable function.
- Customer invoicing.
- Collections/Cash Application.
- Sales Tax and payment support.
- Backup and supplemental support for accounts payable function.
- Vendor setup.
- Vendor payments.
- Credit card and expense reporting (through Ramp software).
- Supplemental general accounting support, as needed.
- Journal entries.
- Cash reconciliations.
- Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
- Opening mail.
- Maintain annual corporate calendar.
- Ability to clearly document work procedures with screenshots and step by step guidance.
- Clocks in and out for activities throughout the day in Pierson Wireless’ project management cloud solution.
- Weekend and night work occasionally required if tight timeframes come up.
- Provides support to other team members and staff as needed.
- Operates company-provided equipment and vehicles in a safe manner and follows all local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
- Submits all receipts and expense records.
- Abides by all policies and procedures as identified in the Pierson Wireless handbook.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
ACCOUNTANT SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not currently hold any supervisory responsibilities but will require interaction within the department and with those outside the department and company.
ACCOUNTANT DECISION-MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has limited decision-making responsibilities.

ACCOUNTANT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or finance required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred (preferred in accounting or finance).
- Vista software experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
