PositionOverview:

This is avoluntary internshipassisting in advancing OCT’s communication, education, and engagement strategy which supports the overall mission of Our Children’s Trust to secure the legal right to a healthy atmosphere and stable climate for current and future generations through its coordination of a global legal campaign.

Communication, Education, & Engagement Interns will support the CEE Team with research, content creation, and engagement coordination for a range of in-person and online events reaching a diverse audience including donors, youth plaintiffs, attorneys, educational institutions and the general public.OCT works closely with qualified interns to support our critical mission, placing a premium on careful, accurate, and self-directed work. We are seeking experienced interns with excellent research, writing, and communication skills, and who are responsive, work independently, take initiative, flexible and think creatively to find solutions.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiar with M365 (Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Familiar with Video Conferencing Platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
  • Familiar with Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

Time Commitment:

This position is part-time and can be completed remotely. Working schedule will be determined by organizational needs, team schedules, and intern availability. Preference will be given to interns who can commit to working at least 10 hours per week. Extra hours may be requested during key events, including tabling, or community outreach events. The intern can be located anywhere in the United States but must be available during Pacific time zone working hours.

Compensation:

Internships are unpaid; however, Our Children’s Trust is willing to support interns in securing outside funding or academic credit for their work where applicable.
