Hours: 40 hours total

Students needed: 3 (40 hours each)

Description of the project: This project proposes a 40-hour mural experience designed to provide creative students with hands-on learning. The mural will offer students a chance to apply their skills beyond the classroom. This short-term experience supports their growth in
problem-solving, teamwork, and project management.
Project scope: 2 internal walls within the Career Center; one main wall in the common area and one hallway wall. Career community focus to emphasize this aspect of our office and the two walls will flow together. The muralists will not design the wall art, they will do the prepping,
outlining, and painting. They will be provided with a design.
Preferred student demographic and qualifications: College of Arts & Architecture
Hours required for completion: 120 hours total between 3 students
Describe how the student will benefit from participation (learning experience): By completing a tangible project, students gain portfolio-worthy work, professional confidence, and insights into collaboration with clients or team members, all of which enhance their career
readiness and employability.
Outline the expected outcomes: 2 completed murals that are connected and flow together; we hope to have a collaborative piece of artwork to add to the creative atmosphere of the office.
