Project Engineer Position Overview:

The Project Engineer will support the Sales team in delivering high-quality solutions in the Material Handling industry, focusing on conveyor systems, AGVs, AMRs, cranes, ergonomic lifts, modular offices, pallet rack systems, and storage systems. This role involves direct engagement with sales efforts, travel to out-of-state job sites to support sales representatives, and hands-on site supervision during system installations. An engineering background with proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, as the Project Engineer will be responsible for developing high-level mechanical and electrical system drawings that detail the work to be completed. Electrical work is represented at a high level, with no in-depth detail required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Support and Customer Engagement: Collaborate closely with sales representatives, attending site visits to understand customer needs and offer engineering support for solution development.
  • System Engineering and AutoCAD Drawings: Create high-level mechanical and electrical drawings that clearly outline the scope of work, providing customers and teams with a visual layout of system installation and integration.
  • Site Supervision and Installation Support: Travel to job sites to oversee the installation process, ensuring all work aligns with customer requirements and project specifications.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in managing project schedules and coordinating integration at job sites to maintain project timelines and meet customer satisfaction standards.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Act as a responsive and dependable point of contact during project execution, ensuring alignment with customer needs and delivering high-quality support throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with high-level system drawing for mechanical and electrical layouts.
  • Willingness to travel for site supervision and sales support.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple project timelines.
  • Strong communication skills a must.
