Monarch NC, a trusted provider of trauma-informed care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and substance use disorders, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join our Child Crisis Team in Charlotte, NC.

 

Work Schedule:

  • Week 1: Sunday (7am - 7pm)
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday (7am-7pm)

 

What You’ll Do

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for children and adolescents in our crisis stabilization unit. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individuals and families during behavioral health crises
  • Monitoring and documenting behaviors, vital signs, and safety indicators
  • Assisting with daily routines and therapeutic activities
  • Collaborating with clinical staff to implement person-centered care plans
  • Responding to crisis situations with calm and effective interventions

 

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ year of experience working with children/adolescents with mental health or substance use challenges preferred
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to teamwork
