Monarch NC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Albemarle, North Carolina. We provide trauma-informed, high-quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and substance use disorders—and we’re looking for nurses who are ready to make a meaningful impact.

 

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse on our ACT team, you’ll work directly with individuals in the community to support their recovery and independence. You’ll:

  • Administer and monitor psychiatric medications.
  • Conduct nursing assessments and provide clinical interventions.
  • Support individuals in developing independent living skills.
  • Help establish access to community services and build natural support networks.
  • Assess individual needs daily and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

 

This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a field-based setting and are passionate about holistic, person-centered care.

 

What You’ll Bring

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • An Associate Degree in Nursing (required).
  • An active North Carolina RN license.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with adults with mental illness.
  • At least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience.
  • Working knowledge of psychiatric medications.
  • Experience in Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is a plus.
