Job Description

Are you a seasoned construction professional ready to take on a leadership role in managing complex projects? We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Project Foreman/Traveling Superintendent. In this combined role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead and supervise field employees, coordinate jobsite activities, and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. This is a dynamic position that requires extensive construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Project Management: Provide overall management for assigned projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and supervision of field employees.
  • Supervision: Oversee on-site operations, including jobsite deliveries, vendor and subcontractor management, and site planning.
  • Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. Complete required OSHA training.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze and interpret technical drawings, business forms, and governmental regulations. Address and resolve issues that arise during construction.
  • Documentation: Write reports, business correspondence, and maintain project files with necessary documentation.
  • Travel: Travel to job sites as required, including overnight stays, to manage projects across different locations.

Requirements:

Project Foreman: Four-year degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.Extensive experience in construction, design, finance, and management. Traveling Superintendent: Two-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical training and experience.Four years of supervisory experience in facility construction or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and experience with construction management software such as Viewpoint or Vista Management.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to remain stationary 50% of the time, move about job sites, ascend/descend ladders, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Must tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Licensing: Valid Drivers License with no encumbrances. OSHA training required (minimum 10 hours for Project Foreman; 30 hours for Traveling Superintendent).
  • Communication: Strong ability to present information effectively, respond to questions, and interact with clients, managers, and team members.
