Job Description

Aardvark Engineers, Inc., an engineering and environmental services firm, is seeking an experienced geotechnical engineer / geologist to work in the Charlotte office location. We are an office that promotes collaboration, conversation and teamwork to drive results in the site development and construction industries.

So what are we looking for:

  • Must live near or willing to relocate to the Charlotte, North Carolina area
  • Civil engineering majors, civil engineering technology majors, geology majors that do not mind getting a little dirty outdoors while having fun doing so!
  • Ability to obtain an Engineering Intern (EI) certification and/or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) required.
  • Full time positions are available. Must be flexible for potential overnight projects located in the Carolina's.
  • You can expect to be involved with diverse and challenging projects in both the field and office.
  • Managing of geotechnical engineering projects and explorations, which consists of performing boring layouts, clearing utilities, supervising drill rigs, performing geophysical surveys, classifying soils, assigning lab testing, and preparing geotechnical reports.
  • Willing to perform construction field and laboratory testing including foundation evaluations and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, asphalt, and masonry materials.
  • Additional responsibilities include assisting other senior staff in marketing, preparing proposals, maintaining a client database, and managing budget proposals and invoices.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
