Job Description

  • Develop engaging, well-organized lesson plans for a five-day camp, incorporating active and experiential learning.
  • Differentiate lessons for a wide range of abilities in grades 1st-4th
  • Create a comprehensive list of necessary supplies and ensure approval for a supply stipend.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive environment for campers.
  • Blend education with fun through dynamic teaching strategies.
  • Address and resolve conflicts or disciplinary issues effectively, keeping the Program Director informed.
  • Lead camp activities with the support of Camp Counselors.
  • Participate in a mandatory live online training session conducted via Zoom.
  • Cultivate a positive, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor, emphasizing a dedicated commitment to fostering a supportive environment for children and youth.
  • Exhibit professionalism, accountability, and adept interpersonal skills consistently when interacting with campers, fellow staff members, and parents.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when engaging with staff, parents, and campers to ensure clarity and build positive relationships.

1. Carolina Nature Explorers: Unleash Your Child's Inner Explorer at Carolina Nature Explorers Camp! Calling all young adventurers! Our campers will master essential crafting techniques and design principles. Campers will enjoy the chance to explore self-expression, innovation, and skill-building. Whether you're a crafting enthusiast or a newcomer to the DIY scene, our camp is the perfect canvas for every aspiring artist to flourish.

  • Camps on Campus Book Club! (Rising 2-4 Grades): Calling all book lovers! Join us for an exciting adventure at our Camps on Campus Book Club Camp! Each day is packed with fun activities to help you explore great stories and dive into the characters, themes, and exciting ideas behind the books. Go on “book walks” to connect the story to the world around you, share your thoughts in creative discussions, and let your imagination shine with arts and crafts, writing, and costume-making. Whether you’re a big reader or new to books, this camp is the perfect place to discover the magic of reading and have fun with friends! (We will be covering the “Dog Man” series.

  • Reader’s Theater Workshop: The classroom becomes its own theater for Cool Schoolers in this camp that combines story-telling, reading skills, writing, performance, and creativity! Campers will learn elements that go into creating/writing a good story and learn from the best as they listen to some of the greatest stories ever told! Did you know on average students can lose up to 40% of gains they made during the previous school year? In this camp, campers will experience an extra boost of reading practice to prevent summer learning loss.

  • July 28- August 1 2025
  • Spy Academy: Mission Impossible- Someone has to ask the tough questions when there is a mystery to be solved, and these cool schoolers are the ones to do it! These campers will be put through spy training involving physical challenges like retrieving important items through a field of lasers and mental challenges like deciphering secret messages. At the end of the week-long crash course in spying, we'll have 25 new spy recruits ready for Friday's Spy Academy graduation! Students are getting in the mindset of what it is to be a detective. Campers are challenging themselves everyday while also learning how to pay close attention to details. Students will visit Ninja Nation to put their spy skills to the test! *Waiver is required*

  • Little Park Rangers: Explore, Learn, and Protect! Join us for an exciting week as a Little Park Ranger, where your camper will discover the beauty and importance of our nation's state parks. Throughout the week, they'll dive into hands-on activities, learning what it takes to become a park ranger while exploring the wonders of nature. It’s an adventure that combines education, exploration, and environmental awareness
