CRU is a one-year community engagement opportunity for incoming first-year freshmen and transfer students eligible for Federal Work-Study (FWS) awards. CRU members are connected with a University-area community partner and will participate in weekly skills development seminars aimed to foster a space for community engagement learning, social connection, and self-reflection. 

The program is committed to the belief that students can address critical social issues, providing them with an avenue to positively affect their campuses, the local community, and society through collaborative exchange. CRU members will be paired with a local community partner and serve 10 hours each week addressing social issues in the community.
