Job Description
Niner Finances is a Peer Program on campus focused on Financial Literacy and Wellbeing. Niner Finances provides the UNC Charlotte students with personalized coaching, digital resources, and wellness-based education to reduce financial anxiety and build financial security. We foster the financial resilience necessary for lifelong personal and professional success.
The Project
Niner Finances offers an incentive program where students can earn up to $200 / year towards saving for an emergency in exchange for different financial behaviors such as completing their FAFSA, setting up automatic savings, attending workshops, etc. Students complete a monthly google form to submit their request for their incentive. The process that we've been using in google sheets to track this has been very manual and leaves a lot of room for error. We are looking for someone to improve this tracking process to make sure we can make sure students are issued incentives for the same reason multiple times during the year.
Learning Experience
The student will design and implement an efficient, accurate data tracking system that automates the management of program incentives, demonstrating skills in data organization, process improvement, and error reduction to ensure equitable and reliable distribution of financial incentives.
Outcomes
A tracking system that will allow for improved tracking of incentives, the ability to ensure no duplications and if possible, an easy way to communicate back to the students which incentives they've earned and instructions for updates in the event that we add incentive options
