Job Description
- The Program Director serves as an operational leader for the online BS in Professional Studies and manages online, hybrid, and off-campus academic programs in their portfolio, which may also include noncredit programs aligned with the Professional Studies major. Responsibilities encompass program development, support, student services, compliance, and quality assurance. Duties include faculty recruitment, selection, hiring, and retention; curriculum and course development; budgeting, financial management, and forecasting; admissions, advising strategies, and partnerships; and program performance evaluation.
- The Program Director acts as a liaison between the School of Professional Studies and other academic units to ensure high-quality, accessible programs that meet enrollment growth goals. This position oversees marketing and recruitment strategies, data reporting, and competitive analysis, and implements marketing plans and recruitment activities. The role involves managing student support services, conducting orientations, and ensuring effective delivery of academic programs through collaboration with teaching, technology, and support units.
- Other responsibilities include facilitating faculty training, monitoring expenditures, managing contracts and grants, and ensuring alignment with institutional standards and accreditation requirements. The Program Director collaborates with industry experts to assess educational needs, design curricula, identify subject matter experts, and explore alignment opportunities for professional and academic credit programs, including micro-credentialing and credit for prior learning. Drives innovation by researching market trends, advancing online learning tools, and promoting high-quality program outcomes.
