Position: Construction Manager Internship

Summary: As a Construction Manager Intern, you will work under the Construction managers, as well as the Jr Construction managers. You will help to accurately estimate project costs as well as helping to oversee operations to ensure projects are on schedule, projects have the accurate measurements, and projects are constructed to the highest quality standards. This position requires strong mathematical acumen, attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Help Gather quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Learn and implement copy software (Procore)
• Review and assess cost estimates based on research, blueprints, and related documents.
• Help with ordering material, verify delivery and accuracy to what is on the plans.
• Help with developing and maintaining construction schedules and reporting project status regularly.
• Help conduct regular risk assessments and address on-site issues promptly.
• Participate in the research and development of construction materials and methods.
• Help present complex and detailed reports to management.

Qualifications:

• In progress: 4-year degree in construction related program, or equivalent.
• Strong ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the project team including management, construction management, clients, clients organization, contractors, and vendors.
• Ability to prioritize and handle diverse workload.
• Willing to dive in, proactively ask for new things you can help with, desire to learn and ambition to excel.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a changing work environment.
• Proficient working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
• Areas of study in Construction Management or Engineering
