Job Description

This internship is designed for students pursuing degrees in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields. As a Financial Planning Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the financial services industry, working directly with advisors to support client planning and service. This is an in-office role, ideal for students looking to build real-world skills and passionate about helping others financially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and entering client financial data into planning software
  • Call clients to update personal and financial information
  • Help prepare financial planning documents and reports
  • Support advisors with administrative tasks related to client service
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive information
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions

 

Qualifications

  • Sophomore. junior or senior from UNC Charlotte
  • Majoring in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Professional demeanor and interest in financial planning
