Job Description

Assist the Athletic Academic Center staff in various areas including but not limited to academic advising, study hall monitoring, textbook distribution, meeting with incoming and/or at-risk students, learning skills development and other duties as assigned by the Director of Olympic Sport Academics and/or the Executive Director.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain current knowledge of the academic rules and procedures of the University, Conference and the NCAA.
  • Assist in monitoring the evening study hall sessions twice per week from 4-9 PM, days will be determined by AAC staff based upon the needs of the office. Approximately half of the time commitment will be in the evenings and half during the day time. 
  • Meet weekly with incoming and/or at-risk student-athletes. Monitor individualized academic plans for at-risk students.
  • Assist assigned student-athletes with weekly academic planning. 
  • Refer students to the appropriate support services on campus.
  • Assist in maintaining student-athlete academic progress to degree files.
  • Assist with textbook distribution each semester.
  • Evening and Sunday hours required. 
  • After successful completion of each semester, G.A. will be encouraged to remain with the AAC for additional terms through their graduation term if agreed upon by both parties.
