As a Regional Sales Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of business the Southeast territory, build relationships across distributors and end users, and learn how revenue is grown—one conversation, proposal, and partnership at a time. - Own the full sales cycle for your territory—prospecting, discovery, presentations, proposals, and close—with a focus on long-term customer relationships.
- Grow regional revenue through a mix of distributor, broker, and direct selling motions (as applicable to your territory).
- Run consultative customer conversations across channels (foodservice, retail, and other end users): understand operational needs, uncover pain points, and recommend the right packaging solution.
- Partner with marketing to execute regional campaigns and turn inbound interest into meetings, samples, and qualified opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with customer service, supply chain, and operations to support smooth onboarding, reliable delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Learn and confidently position Darnel’s packaging portfolio (e.g., containers, cutlery, tableware, and sustainable lines) to solve customer needs and support profitable growth.
- Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and forecasting updates in CRM; communicate risks/opportunities and take action to stay on track to monthly and quarterly goals.
- Develop and execute a Southeast territory plan: prioritize accounts, map coverage, and schedule customer/distributor visits to maximize impact across the region.
- Represent Darnel at distributor ride-alongs, broker meetings, regional customer visits, and occasional industry events/trade shows.

Qualifications (what we’re looking for)
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business (recent grads encouraged to apply).
- Strong communication skills—comfortable speaking with new people and presenting ideas clearly.
- Competitive, goal-oriented mindset with a track record of taking initiative (sports, student orgs, internships, part-time work, etc.).
- Curiosity and coachability — you ask questions, seek feedback, and apply what you learn.
- Organized and dependable; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work effectively in a remote environment — self-motivated, responsive, and comfortable collaborating by phone/video.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
Preferred qualifications
- Internship or experience in sales, customer success, retail, hospitality/foodservice, manufacturing, or other customer-facing roles.
- Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) or learning new systems quickly.
- Exposure to B2B sales in consumer products, packaging, distribution, or a consultative/solution selling environment.
Location & travel
This is a remote position supporting the Southeast region (FL, GA, AL, SC, NC, TN). Travel within the region is expected (typically up to 40%), including occasional overnight trips.
