INTERN POSITION JOB DESCRIPTION

Your internship at The Little Studio will provide work-based learning opportunities with hands-on experience. Gain a more realistic view of a creative career while developing a broader understanding of business development, coordination, and management.

Expectations of Intern will include but are not limited to:

  • Having a reliable source of transportation
  • Arriving on time for your designated shift

Communication skills:

  • Use appropriate verbal and body language in all interactions with class participants and instructors

Studio maintenance:

  • Maintaining studio appearance (cleaning and upkeep of the studio space)
  • Recycling of clay
  • Kiln firing processes

Studio class assistance:

  • Helping to prepare the studio for classes
  • Assist Instructors with private pottery classes, private events, public events, and Summer camps (dependent on the date of internship)
  • Assist Instructors with after-class clean-up 

Administration 

  • Private class pottery pick-up coordination
  • Correspond with potential customers
  • As needed assistance

Work Schedule

  • Two 4-hour shifts per week
